Dear customers and friends, we’ve composed this list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help address many of the recent concerns about the impending closure of our Panama City, Florida facility. As always, we will do everything we can to ensure our customers receive the highest level of care and support.
- Q: Why is Yamaha discontinuing Century after the recent new product introductions, Customer Service success and brand efforts?
- A: In today’s very challenging global economy, Yamaha is focusing on streamlining their operations, and concentrating on improving their core product categories’ performance.
- Q: What will happen to the Century Boats currently in dealer inventory?
- A: Century dealers will sell remaining Boat inventories. There will be significant incentives on the remaining Century Dealer Inventory.
- Q: Why should I buy a new Century when you are discontinuing production?
- A: The innovative features and overall quality of Century Boats provide an outstanding ownership experience. The Company may be discontinuing the production of Century Boats, but they offer an overall satisfying ownership experience. The Company will continue to provide its standard limited warranties on new Boats and honor all outstanding limited warranties currently in place. The Company will also continue to provide parts and service support. Century Boats offers an overall value proposition that is very compelling.
- Q: How good of a deal can I get on a new Century?
- A: See your local Century dealer for their remaining available inventory and prices.
- Q: Will I be able to get financing for a new Century?
- A: Please see your local Century dealer for details.
- Q: How will I get my Century serviced? Will you honor my warranty?
- A: Authorized Century Service Centers will continue to provide warranty, service and repair work. Yamaha expects to be providing replacement parts for as many years as required market by market. Century will also, of course honor, all outstanding warranties, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Limited Warranty.
- Q: Are any of the brand's models going to be available as existing Yamaha Boat Company models?
- A: Yamaha currently has no plans to produce Century Boats at any of its other existing boat companies.
